Is my creativity is safe on web?

One fine morning i was wandering if there was any tool to trach whether a particular image is copied/duplicated and reused in the other website. Some times the clients are very serious on this topic that the graphics used in his/her portal shouldn't be replicated(ofcourse if he has paid money for those photographs/images). For content there is tool like(copyscape) and we can google also not an issue. We followed those methods only while payoff to contentwriters but what for graphic designers. Thank God to to new Google Image search which has the feature to upload your image and get it searched for its existence in the web media. Another good tool i got is Tineye which is excellent tool for working and proofchecking of images

Last week we released WordPress 3.2, a version focused on making WP faster and lighter with a refreshed dashboard, new Twenty Eleven theme, a zen writing mode, and more:

This print advertisement by Olympus has a great concept and visual. It uses frozen ice to symbolize that the action has been frozen in time by the camera.

This amusing print advertisement cleverly uses Photoshop to convey its USP.

Have you ever been so tired while reading that you felt the words are falling from the book? Here is a cool visual example of the same.

Creating My Own World

Creating My Own World in an impressive artistic concept. The ink represents the fluidity of imagination and creativity through which the artist creates fish, birds, butterflies and the world of his own. It has beautiful color, texture and a poetic touch.

Lens Coffee Mug

It's hard not to like this cool coffee mug. It is made from the lens of a camera that has been fashioned into a mug. I think the image is the Photoshopped prototype (of the initial concept) of Canon mugs.

The King

The King has an interesting and thought provoking concept, drawing parallel between king and pawn. The artist philosophically states that when the game is over, the king and the pawn go into the same box.

Skinbonsai is a well executed but creepy photo manipulation of bonsaicreated from body parts.

Poor grapes are looking really scared! This fantastic photo manipulation is humorous and heartwarming at the same time. The attention to detail is mindboggling and the concept is skillfully executed.

Go Your Own Road
Go Your Own Road has a great concept. It advises you to follow your heart.

International Handshake
It would be cool if you could shake hands with your friend in another country without a long journey or jetlag. International Handshake is an awesome example of an Out of Bounds photo manipulation concept.

Apple or Kiwifruit
This advertisement for Polident Denture Care uses fruit as an object of focus. It shows fruits like apple, pear, sugarcane each with unexpectedly soft interiors. Here it refers to the softness of the kiwi fruit when you bite an apple wearing their dentures.

Love is a Learning Process
Human emotions are complex. Love is the best/worst feeling to ever have, it can be so diverse at times that you can never be sure that you know all. Though I wonder if you could learn all about love or intricacies of human feelings from books. Simplicity, colors and subject of this photo manipulation are eye-catching.

Eat Me!
What would you call them? Eggheads? And are you ready to eat them?? It has the wonderful humorous concept.

Choose Your Face
Choose Your Face has a novel concept and the attention to detail is beyond words, it almost looks real.

Toyo Tires: Octopus
This print advertisement for Toyo tires cleverly uses an octopus to go with their slogan "Gripping Performance".

Perception
Sometimes you might have the wrong perception about yourself and that might stress you out. This is a great example that shows how you can perfectly use ordinary objects to make a powerful message.

Wild Horses
A fascinating photo manipulation where the woman's flowing hairs are shown as horses. The peace and calmness on the woman's face and the running wild horses on the other hand symbolize the constant thought process going on in our minds, although outwardly we might seem to be calm and relaxed. A very original idea..

An unusual concept showing hands morphed into a mouth and a ear. It depicts that everyone wants a ear to voice their opinion.

Lion Show
Lion Show is a print advertisement for Zoo Safari. It has an outstanding concept backed by wonderfully executed visuals to match its slogan "Blend In".

This is an amazing idea personifying milk into a spirit.

Strength in Every Pour
A similar concept as the one shown above but with the positive message. In this print advertisement, milk is personified to symbolize that it helps to support your heart and body.

Verbal Abuse
This powerful Public Interest advertisement campaign successfully illustrates how verbal abuse can be just as horrific as physical violence. It raises awareness of the issue of vicious domestic verbal abuse.

Love Story This is really a sad love story. It is amazing how you can tell a story with just one object. The old and faded effect gives it an interesting feel. The idea of using fruit to make something that seems so simple and yet universally recognizable is very clever.

A delightful and detailed imagination of city built from a cigarette's ashes.

Life is Heavy
Another witty and brilliant piece of conceptual photo manipulation. It says something so philosophical in such a minimal and simple way.

Reduce the Effects of A Disaster
A public interest advertisement by FEMA for Disaster Management and taking timely actions to reduce the effects of disaster. The concept is very clear and the brick typography is exceptional.

The Monster In The Mirror symbolizes the hidden fear within us. The beautiful girl and the pastel colors makes the artwork more attractive.

How does This Make Your Tongue Feel?
This is how a tongue would look if it had a life of it's own. A creepy and funny concept that can make you chuckle.

The Insight Story
An excellent campaign for the Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung with visuals depicting political figures and characters. The general idea is that the newspaper digs down through the layers to bring the news and the image accurately brings forth the concept.

Elements – Fire
An amazing Photoshop work showing a woman dressed in fire and solidified lava. The concept is beautifully executed with great attention to detail like the clouds, the lava, the debris etc. The color scheme and the fire glow which reflects on the model's body making it an outstanding piece of work.

The Poisoned Smoke
A great piece depicting the harmful health effects of smoking cigarettes and tobacco. It is simple and powerful which makes the message very clear.

An amazing poster illustrating plastic surgery and botox that goes behind a beautiful model's face.

Recently there has been a FOSS Session name FOSS Forward jointly organised by Amtron(A govt of Assam Undertaking) & CDAC. The event was started with registration followed by Inaugural Session. The event attracted many Govt Officials & Students as the participants. The welcome address was given by Mr. M. K. Yadava, MD, Amtron. It was followed by the address of the Chief Guest, Commissioner & Secretary, IT, Govt of Assam. Other distinguised Guests were Mr. Jayanta Perial, Jt Director, CDAC, Kolkata and Mr S. Srinivasan Project Scientist, CDAC, Chennai. The event started with the meaning and importance of Free & Open Souce Software. Various queries related to Open source were addressed by the experts. The speakers discussed and gave demo on the newly developed Operating System BOSS(Bharat Operating System Solutions) by CDAC and NRCFOSS(National Resource Centre for Free & Open Source Software). Case studies were discussed regarding the use of BOSS in Govt. Sector. BOSS supports all the Indian official languages. Lots of packages comes in bundle with the distro which are very much useful in day to day official activities. Ministry of Defence have already adopted BOSS as their official platform. Recently Election Department, Tripura Govt have saved lots of money by implementing BOSS in generating electoral roll.

After 2003 again its 2011 when India in Finals of WC. The 1st saturday of the month of April just closed the financial year So finance ppl are relaxed a bit after closing, usual weekend for the corporates, all central govt offices. Now Guwahati has a different scenario ULFA declared bandh on the visit of Prime Minister Manmahon Singh so the other establishments like Market, Shops and even Malls are also closed. Obviously few JNNURM Buses under ASTC are plying with a few private buses. The deserted looks of GS Road reveals the truth. The attendance in the state Govt offices are very low and it almost paralyzed by 3'O Clock. Any way its a good time for cricket lovers thanks to PM. Now all will rest upon the our player what they will turn up.

Hooks are one of the main building blocks of WordPress plug-ins. Almost every plug-in uses a hook to overwrite WordPress’ core functionality.

How to Use Hooks on Your WordPress Blog

Unless you’re writing a plug-in, you would write hooks in the functions.php file. This file is located in the wp-content/themes/yourtheme directory.

A hook, as you would expect, “hooks” one function to another. For example, you could write a custom function and attach it to one of WordPress’ core functions:

How to execute SQL queries

For those who don't know yet, SQL queries have to be executed within the MySQL command line interpreter or a web interface such as the popular PhpMyAdmin. Since we're going to work on WordPress, you should note that the SQL Executionner plugin provides an easy-to-use interface that allows you to run SQL queries directly on your WordPress blog dashboard.

Although all the queries from this article have been tested, don't forget that you shouldn't test any of those on a production blog. Also, make sure that you always have a working database backup.

Manually change your password

It may sound like the thing that only happens to others but forgetting a password can happen to any of us. In case you lost your blog admin password, the only solution is to create a new one directly in your MySQL database.
The following query will do it. Notice that we use the MD5() MySQL function to turn our password into an MD5 hash.

1.UPDATE 'wp_users' SET 'user_pass' = MD5('PASSWORD') WHERE 'user_login' ='admin' LIMIT 1;

Transfer posts from one user to another

Most WordPress newcomers tend to use the good old "admin" account instead of creating an account with their real name. If you made that mistake and created another account later, you can easily transfer your old "admin" posts to your new account with the SQL query below.
You'll need the user id of both your old and new accounts.

1.UPDATE wp_posts SET post_author=NEW_AUTHOR_ID WHERE post_author=OLD_AUTHOR_ID;

Delete post revisions and meta associated to those revisions

Post revisions are very useful, especially in the case of a multi author blog. However, the problem of post revisions is definitely the number of database records it creates. For exemple, if your blog has 100 posts, which has 10 revisions each, you'll end up with 1000 records in the wp_posts tables, while only 100 of them are necessary.
Executing this query will delete all post revisions as well as all meta info (custom fields, etc) associated to it. The whole process will result in a consequent gain of database space.

Batch delete spam comments

Imagine that you're coming back from holidays, where you haven't had any access to the Internet. If you haven't installed Akismet and depending on your blog popularity, you may end up with 1000, 2000 or even 10,000 comments to moderate.
You can spend a whole day to moderate the lot, or you can use this life-saving query to delete all unapproved comments. And for your next holidays, don't forget to install Akismet!

Find unused tags

Tags are recorded on the wp_terms table. If for some reason a tag has been created but is not used anymore, it stays in the table. This query will let you know which tags are on the wp_terms table without being used anywhere on your blog. You can delete those safely.

Find and replace data

This tip isn't specific to WordPress and is a must know for anyone who's working with MySQL databases. The MySQL function replace() lets you specify a field name, a string to find, and a replacement string. Once the query is executed, all occurrences of the string to replace will be replaced by the replacement string.
In case of a WordPress blog, this can be useful to batch replace a typo (For example people who repeatedly call the software Wordpress…) or an email address.

1.UPDATE table_name SET field_name = replace( field_name, 'string_to_find', 'string_to_replace' ) ;

Get a list of your commentators emails

Have you ever received unsolicited emails from blogs you previously commented? I'm sure you did, just like me. The fact is that getting a list of emails from your commentators is extremely easy using the following query. The DISTINCT parameter will make sure that we'll only get each email once, even if the user commented more than once.
Please note that this is only a proof of concept: Don't send your users unwanted emails.

Delete all tags

In WordPress, tags are recorded in the wp_terms tables, along with categories and taxonomies. If you wish to remove all tags, you can't simply empty or delete the wp_terms as you'll destroy categories at the same time!
If you want to get rid of your tags, run this query. It will remove all tags and relationships between tags and posts, while leaving categories and taxonomies intact.

List unused post meta

Post meta is created by plugins and custom fields. They are extremely useful, but they can quickly make your database grow in size. The following query will show you all the records in the postmeta table that doesn't have corresponding records in the post table.

Disable comments on older posts

Everyone who has been in blogging for more than one year will know: Even after some months, your old posts still receive interest from the public and lots of comments, mostly because they are indexed by search engines. This is a good thing of course, but the problem is for people like me who own technical blogs and have to answer lots of questions related to their old (and sometimes obsolete) posts.
The solution to this problem is to automatically close comments on posts which are too old. This SQL query will close comments on all posts published before January 1, 2009.

1.UPDATE wp_posts SET comment_status = 'closed' WHERE post_date < '2009-01-01' AND post_status = 'publish';

Replace commentator url

Previously in this article, I talked about the very useful replace() MySQL function. Here is a good example of how useful it is : Let's say you previously own a site and used its url in your comments to generate backlinks to this site.
If you sell the site, you can easily replace the old url by your new site url. Simply run this query and you'll be done!

Lately, I've noticied that some clever spammers left some quite relevant comments, but with a link pointing to a viagra site. Unfortunely, when I noticied it the commentator already left lots of comments. The following query will delete all comments with a specific url. The "%" signs means that any url containing the string within the % signs will be deleted.

Web users love informative clues. Whatever questions and misunderstandings might occur – delivering precise answers immediately is the primary task a responsive user interface should be able to cope with. To do that, developers have to consider subtle and well-thought tooltips – used correctly, they can greatly improve user experience and help users to get things done. In Web such "responsive" hints can be provided by tooltips. E.g., unclear input fields in web forms are perfect examples of a situation you might be willing to use a tooltip for.

Most of solutions are JavaScript- and AJAX-based, however we've also managed to find some lightweight CSS-based solutions. To install and use the script, it's often enough to include the JavaScript library in the source code and provide the hint as plain text within the "title"-attribute. Sometimes you can also insert URLs, images, tables and further elements – basically, it can be almost everything you'd ever wanted it to be.

We'd like to thank Jurgen Koller for compiling an extensive list of tooltip scripts we've stumbled upon during our search. It gives many useful pointers, but we've managed to find some more. You might be willing to use Koller's post as a quick reference for your search.

The traditional six day countdown to Mahasaptami starts from Mahalaya. Goddess Durga visits the earth for only four days but seven days prior to the Pujas, starts the Mahalaya. The enchanting voice of Birendra Krishna Bhadra fill up the predawn hours of the day thus marking the beginning of " devipaksha " and the beginning of the count-down of Durga Puja. Sarat in its bloom, mingled with the festive spirit of Durga Puja reaches its pitch on the day of Mahalaya. From this day starts 'Devipaksha' and marks the end of 'Pitri-pakshaIt is the day when many throng to the banks of river Ganga, clad in dhotis to offer prayers to their dead relatives and forefathers.People in the pre-dawn hours pray for their demised relatives and take holy dips in the Ganges. This ritual is known as

'Torpon'. This day bears immense significance for the Bengalis. It is according to the myths that Sree Rama hastily performed Durga Puja just before he set for Lanka to rescue Sita from Ravana.

According to Puranas, King Suratha, used to worship goddess Durga in spring. Thus Durga Puja was also known as Basanti Puja. But Rama preponed the Puja and worshiped Durga in autumn and that is why it is known as 'Akal Bodhon' or untimely worship. It was considered untimely as it is in the myths that puja was performed when the Gods and Goddesses were awake i.e. "Uttarayan" and was not held when the Gods and Goddesses rested ie."Dakshinayan".
